I’ve gone with “sweater weather”as the blog name for two reasons: first, I love fall, especially in the leafy, brick-street town of Athens. And secondly, it’s getting cold out there in the media world for us honest, thinking types (I call us “conservatives.”) it’s not a pun, so don’t groan – i worked on the name for a while.
I’m planning on using this blog as a commentary on media bias – a pretty popular topic as of late, (finally!) I’m young, but I’m a student of the media (about to graduate from Ohio University’s Scripps School of Journalism this June with my Magazine degree) and I’ve definitely jumped on the media-has-a-ridiculous-left-wing-bias train. (It’s an honest train.) Anyway, I’m excited to be entering the media world (I’m still optimistic about it) and am grateful to all my teachers – whether they’ve been professors, friends, experiences or God, who somehow loves me even when I don’t comb my hair.
